Saratov team wins first prize in programming

Saratov programmers won a triumphal victory in the International Collegiate Programming Contest held in San Antonio, USA. 83 of 5606 competing teams took part in the final competition; 10 of them were from Russia.
Saratov programmers won a triumphal victory in the International Collegiate Programming Contest held in San Antonio, USA. 83 of 5606 competing teams took part in the final competition; 10 of them were from Russia. A Saratov State University (SSU) team of candidates and a student achieved the best results, fulfilling six of ten tasks in 5 hours. Generally solutions take months to be achieved. The winners received IBM laptops and educational grants of $2,000. The programmers from Altay University, Russia, won second prize; third place was won by a Dutch team. Chinese and Polish teams complemented the top five.
